These past weeks there have been a total of 10 people eliminated of American Idol and here they are Jason Yeager, Alex Lushington, Alaina Whitaker, Robbie Carrico, Danny Noriega, Asia’h Epperson, Luke Menard, Kady Malloy, David Hernandez, and Amanda Overmyer. Jason Yeager a 28 year old male from Grand Prairie, Texas sang “Long Train runnin” and the judges commented on it Randy said it was a little karaoke Paula said there wasn’t very many notes that showed his vocal range and Simon called it awkward and ordinary.
After Jason came Alex Lushington a 19 year old female from Douglasville, Georgia.Alex was voted February 28th 2008 and she sang “If You Leave Me Now” and the Judges commented: Randy said “It was a little safe for me” Paula said “I’ve been impressed with you since day one” and Simon said “You look terrific but it was boring.”
Next to go was Alaina Whitaker a 16 year old female from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Alaina sang “Hopelessly Devoted To You” and Randy thought it was a little pitchy. Paula thought Alaina did a real good job. Simon thought Alaina was one of the dark horses in this competition.
Along with Alaina went Robbie Carrico a 26 year old male from Melbourne, Florida. Robbie sang “Hot Blooded” and the judge’s comments were, from Randy “It was just ok” from Paula “You played it a little safe this week” and from Simon “Actually, I thought the vocal was ok tonight”
After that week of people went home there was another week with four more people the first person out of that group was Danny Noriega an 18 year old male with a huge personality. Danny is from Azusa, California. Danny sang “Tainted Love” and the judge’s thoughts were, from Randy “It started a little rough” from Paula “I love the fact that your true to yourself” and from Simon “I thought it was horrible the whole thing. Danny was eliminated on March 6th 2008.
After Danny came Asia’h Epperson a 19 year old female from Joplin, Minnesota. Asia’h sang “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and the judge’s thoughts were, from Randy “You proved tonight that you deserve to be here” from Paula “You nailed it!” and from Simon “Second rate Whitney Houston, good enough for the top 12”
The First out of the next two to be eliminated was Luke Menard a 29 year old male who is from Crawfordsville, Indianapolis. Luke sang “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” the judge’s thoughts were, from Randy “A little bit corny for me but it was alright” from Paula “I loved it” and from Simon “I thought it was weak, a bit girly”
After Luke was eliminated it was Kady Malloy a 18 year old female from Houston, Texas. Kady sang “Who Wants To Live Forever” the judge’s thoughts were, from Randy “You hit the big notes really well, but the small notes not well enough” from Paula “To date for me, This was you r best performance” and from Simon “You’re like a robot when you sing, I just can’t get anything out of you”
The very next week only one contestant left American Idol and David Hernandez was eliminated. David Hernandez is a 24 year old male from Glendale, Arizona. David sang “ I saw Her Standing There” the judge’s thoughts were, from Randy “It was a little to overdone” from Paula “I felt like you kinda over did it a little” and from Simon “David no, no, no, I thought it was corney verging on desperate” Last week also only one person left American Idol and it was Amanda Overmyera 23 year old female from Mulberry, Indiana. If you watch American Idol you’ll know that whether you are a good singer or you’re the best singer one of the contestants are going to be eliminated and that’s exactly what happened February 21st, 2008.Two boys and two girls were eliminated they were good but I guess they weren’tgood enough for the show. The first person eliminated from the show was Garret Haley. Garret Haley is 17 years old and is from Elida, Ohio but auditioned in San Diego from there, there was no stopping him. Garret Haley made it through auditions, he made it through Hollywood week, but unfortunately did not make it through the first round. Even though Haley did not make it to the top he still plans to keep singing and hopefully will pursue his dream of singing. The next contestant that was eliminated was Amy Davis. Amy Davis is a 25 year old female who is from Lowell, Indianapolis. She sang “Where the Boys Are” and got a bad review of it to. Paula’s review of Amy was “I don’t know if it was the most engaging song for you” Randy’s review of Amy was “There were just a lot of pitch problems there” and Simon’s review of Amy was “You look great but you didn’t sound great.” The next contestant to go was Joanne Borgella from Hoboken, New Jersey. Joanne is a 25 year old female who looks up to Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Alanis Morrisette, and Andrea Borcelli. The review from the judges weren’t horrible but here they are. Randy’s review of Joanne was “I felt like your voice was a little shaky.” Paula’s review was “I liked it, I didn’t love it.” And Simon’s review was “A very average cabaret version of a cabaret song.” The last contestant to go was Colton Berry. Colton is from Staunton, Virginia and is 18 years old. MUSIC OF THE WEEK! This week Flo Ridas’ Low starts its sixth week as number 1 on the Billboard hot 100. Sean Kingston had a big year in 2007 thanks to his 1st single called “Beautiful Girls” his other songs “Me Love” and Take You There” helped push his album to the top. Sean Kingston had four hundred thousand albums sold while other fans purchased over millions of ringtones. Sean wrapped up performing with Chris Brown on his Holiday Tour. Sean released his fourth single “There’s Nothin” a while back but he just released his music video for “There’s Nothin” on February 2nd, 2008. Sean celebrated his 17th birthday February 3rd, 2008. As for the Grammy’s they will still be held at the Los Angeles’ Staples Center. All celebrities including Akon, Beyonce, Queen Latifiah, and many, many more. This will be the 50th annual Grammy’s. If you listened to the radio this week you would have heard that Michael Jackson might perform at the Grammy’s. This year the Queen of the Grammy’s took the stage and that was Tina Turner featuring Beyonce who pulled it off considering her age. Aretha Franklin also pulled off a performance as well. This week Flo Ridas’ Low starts its sixth week as number 1 on the Billboard hot 100. Sean Kingston had a big year in 2007 thanks to his 1st single called “Beautiful Girls” his other songs “Me Love” and Take You There” helped push his album to the top. Sean Kingston had four hundred thousand albums sold while other fans purchased over millions of ringtones. Sean wrapped up performing with Chris Brown on his Holiday Tour. Sean released his fourth single “There’s Nothin” a while back but he just released his music video for “There’s Nothin” on February 2nd, 2008. Sean celebrated his 17th birthday February 3rd, 2008.
As for the Grammy’s they will still be held at the Los Angeles’ Staples Center. All celebrities including Akon, Beyonce, Queen Latifiah, and many, many more. This will be the 50th annual Grammy’s.
If you listened to the radio this week you would have heard that Michael Jackson might perform at the Grammy’s.
As for new releases the Juno soundtrack just released last week it is the #1 album on the Billboard’s hot 200.
